The Sarojin Khao Lak Community Fund
100% of profits of this collection is donated to this highly worthwhile cause.
The award winning hotel in Khao Lak, Thailand, The Sarojin established 'The Sarojin Khao Lak Community Fund'. 100% of the fund is distributed to community projects substantially affected by the 2004 Tsunami . Projects include building fishing boats at the Pakarang Boat Yard to enable fishermen to get back on their feet; badly needed housing; the Red Cross; new school buildings; children's play and educational equipment; and orphanage support.
Whilst sourcing in Thailand, we took a detour to Khao Lak on the west coast. The beach adjacent to The Sarojin contains unusual, almost pure white, tactile shells. These shells were collected to form the basis of this special collection, made of 9ct gold and different cuts of Aquamarine. |
